I have a very hard time reconciling those reviews with high star ratings based on my experience, which mirrors that of those who say this doesn't cool. | This corkscrew works better than any other that I have used. It pulls corks out with ease, then ejects them with minimal effort - the Achilles heal of most corkscrews. The only down side is the price. If you drink wine regularly, you'll never regret your purchase. It works just as well on plastic "corks" as real ones - something many lever-style corkscrews can't claim. |

| I purchased this decanter from another seller (not through Amazon) and it came with the 2 piece Metrokane Wine Shower Funnel.
I quite enjoy using this combination and have had great success with the V1. It did take a few minutes to figure out that the center stem has to be pulled up on the stopper prior to pumping a vacuum on the decanter but I haven't had any trouble since. | Very functional and easy to put together with some hammering. I would recommend the darker wood finishes. I bought the natural one and the unfinished wood looks cheap so we put in underneath our bar as our "functional winerack" rather than our "pretty winerack." Am considering painting it brown or black. |

| Great for every day, don't keep these in the cabinet or china hutch. Life is too short to drink cheap wine or use cheap glasses and these are really affordable Riedel. Use a quality glass for your wine - you are worth it. The shape of these glasses will bring out all the nuances a Bordeaux, Cab or Meritage. |

| Purchased opener for basic home use. It lasted all of 2 months! The mechanism which enables you pull out cork failed and when I turned the unit upside down a piece fell out. Needless to say, we are very disappointed and trying to get a refund now. When it worked, husband and I found the opener very easy to use. The foil cutter was fairly useless on bottles with larger top rims, but we have a nice cutter so that didn't bother us too much. |
