| From a design standpoint, this is a very good product. But the documentation is pathetic, and was clearly never tested with new / real users. There is no explanation of how it's supposed to work. That understanding is very helpful: with it, you'll never have trouble, and will marvel at the clever design. Let's get started.

| I've owned one fo these for years and I'm still on the first cartridge. I've yet to insert the refill cartridge even though I have opened countless bottles of wine. The package says that each cartridge opens 50 bottles. I think I'm beyond that. This is better than a rabbit opener (I have one of those as well). My suggestion is to ease the cork out AS SOON as you depress the cartrdige. When done in one swift motion the cork comes out super fast and without effort. These make fabulous gifts. The refills ... | My wife and I love these glasses. We have a large selection of Riedel products and these Single Malt glasses are of the same quality. I briefly considered the 'Sommelier' edition of the same glasses and while I'm sure they are fantastic I do not find that the Vinum series is lacking anything.
As long as your buying scotch at $50+/bottle why not drink it out of a nice glass? |

| I purchased this decanter based on the many positive reviews, but now I wish I had paid a little more attention to the negative ones. First the pros:
- It's a very wide decanter, giving a lot of surface area to the wine so that aeration is accomplished very easily. - Very sturdy. | Both of these glasses are now gone. The glass is thinner then eggshells. If you use them then save them for special occasions only because they are more fragile then any other glass I've ever seen.
I replaced them with Libby's. Better price, set of 4 and better glass. |

| This is the second Screwpull corkscrew we have owned. The first one, given to us by my husband's mother, lasted 15 years, and broke only when I twisted the corkscrew without holding onto the base securely. I had asked in several liquor stores, and no one would admit to knowing anything about them. That was, I am certain, because they sold more expensive corkscrews that did not work nearly as well. | The wine aerator is used at my house for pouring individual glasses of wine rather than pouring it into a decanter. It is a wonderful way to "decant" a glass of wine into a goblet.
