| This is a nice, thick jar. True, there is no rubber seal around the lid, but it's only $10. If you need a jar to keep items fresh, you might want to spend a little more money for a nicer jar, but, if you just need a jar to put stuff in, this works great. I keep dog treats in it. The opening is nice and wide so I have no problems getting dog biscuits out of it. |

| Have had these canisters for 8 years and love them. Just bought them for my sister who just got married. No complaints about them. Work great for sugar, flour, cornmeal, pancake mix, etc. |

| When I received my order, I loved the look of the canisters. They looked exactly as they did online. I was glad that the color was true to the pictures at Amazon.
However, once I stored sugar in one of my canisters, the problem with the "airtight" seal became apparent. Water got into the sugar and it hardened. The problem is that the seals are cheap. | Arrived cracked but the crack doesn't affect the functioning of the bin. The roller wheels which move it around fall off without much effort.
That said, once you have it immobilized its a great product. The foot pedal feels solid and the lid gently closes instead of slamming shut like on other models. | My wife has used the ones from Target (the Michael Graves design). We like them fine; there's nothing wrong with them functionally, but we both prefer these OXO containers. We now have one of each size and will not be looking elsewhere. The OXO is perfect.

| Bought this to replace the ceramic gravy pot I was using to hold wooden cooking utensils on the stove. This thing is large, roomy and solid. I now have my metal spoons and spatulas conveniently at-hand on the stove, as well. No more sorting through the drawer for them.
