| I bought this set for my grandmother because it has a traditional look to it. She absolutely loves it! The knives are nice and sharp. Like other knives, these knives should not be put in the dishwasher. It will cause the wood to dry out and crack, and it can cause rusting. Knives should always be washed by hand, and these are no exception. |

| Unbeatable for the price. I cut everything with it, bread, fruit, vegetables... At first there were small residues of metal between the different 'teeth' and I though that it did not come in proper working order. But once you manage to clean that out (which does require a bit of effort), it cuts as it should without leaving any metal residue. |

| I already have one set of these knifes and love them. I was happy to see I could get two more sets so cheap at Amazon.com. I would highly recommend Chicago Cutlery Classic Chef steak knifes. Chicago Cutlery is easy to clean and look great on a table; not too big or small. They cut meat very smoothly. Amazon did a wonderful job on shipping them too. |

| Someone sent this knife to me, and, like other reviewers, I thought that it was a cheap, ugly knife. What a mistake! It is ugly, but it does the most fantastic job. No cheese sticks to it; it slices cleanly through every cheese we serve. Love, love, love it, but why can't it come in another color?? |

| Didn't have great expectation since the price range for Sushi knives is pretty wide. For a novice sushi maker like me, this is plenty good. The blade is well-crafted and the bamboo handle is nice. It would have been nice to have a scabbard for it but I just replaced one of the rarely-used knives in my knife block. |

| This knife has all but replaced my collection of chef's knives. It cuts everything from cheese to tomatoes effortlessly and smoothly. It keeps its edge well and only needs a touch with the sharpening steel every few days to maintain that edge.

| The scissors I purchases were a hostess gift. I spent a week with my friend and she was using some old, worn-out scissors.
I had received my pair for Christmas last year, and use them daily for all kinds of jobs. I went online and ordered her a pair just like mine. She loves them as much as I do. |

| As a restaurant worker who has a rather large collection of shun knives, I purchased this whetstone because I was in the market to upgrade from an old oil stone to something a little easier to use. My oil stone was definitely showing signs of wear. So solely on the advice from a colleague who also uses shun knives, I ordered up.

| I rarely eat meat, but am always chopping veggies. These knives have survived the "dish-washing" tests, and slicing tomatoes and onions (always a difficulty for me with their skins, and my arthritic hands) makes life a lot easier in the kitchen. I can get thin perfect slices, and the carnivores in the family find them great for meat. For me this was well worth the price! |
