| I've always wanted a cookie press and after reading reviews decided this was the best value. I love that it is stainless steel - it is very durable and I know it will last for many years to come. Lots of attachments included - makes baking fun! So far I've made some great cheesestraws and sugar cookies with it. Easy to use and easy to clean. Love the storage case - keeps it all organized. | I not only think Alton Brown's "Good Eats" is the best cooking show on T.V., but I'm also a total sucker for cute gadgets and this one fit the bill! After seeing Alton use one many times, I had to have one. I purchased mine at Linens 'n Things and absolutely love it. It's not only adorable, but indespensibly functional. We use unprocessed salt called "Real Salt" and it keeps the salt clean and prevents it from forming lumps. I also use Kosher salt for tasks such as boiling pasta. I'm so enthused about this ... | It is beyond me how a group of electronic designers built a battery powered device without an ON/OFF switch. I haven't left this on overnight to see if there's a nifty self-timed power-down, but somehow I doubt it.
I bought the item because it looked like the one Alton Brown uses, and I've had good luck following that trend. It also had a wide temperature range (32F - 392F) which was hard to find at the retail stores I visited. I was interested in using this as a fry thermometer also. ... Read More: |

| I broke my measuring cup like this recently, after it had served faithfully for 20 years--I know because we got it as a wedding gift!
