| i have been using this for at least 3 years, but i don't really know why. I see it (or similar)used at places like Olive garden, and assume it must be done to preserve wine, but i don't really see the difference.
On new wines, especially whites, it seems to work(well at least as well as sticking the cork back in). but on even slightly older reds (anything 4 years or older) it seems to make no difference at all. they are almost always oxidized by the next evening, and definitely ... Read More: |

| I could write several paragraphs but suffice it to say if you vacuum seal wine that you haven't decanted or left open for a week, it'll remain fresh for at least a couple weeks. |

| I got this for my BIL. He grills and cooks alot. He loves it and use it all the time. I did tell him about the problem with over pumping and then refrigerating and imploding, so he hasn't had trouble with it. |

Good News: [...] Quick delivery-thanks Amazon Other News: White set sells for $9.95 Crystal pourers (sold separately) are $4.95 Stainless set (including pourers) is $29.95 Disappointment. Pourers in the Stainless set are plastic. Appears to work OK. I didn't hear the click, however I didn't have my hearing aids on. |

| Vacu Vin's Pineapple Slicer is very easy to use and leaves a nice hull for a fancy drink or serving piece. The slicer and a pineapple make a nice hostess gift, and can be made to look festive enough for holiday or special occasion "gifting" for very few dollars. Thumbs up! | I've been using this fairly consistently for the few weeks since I bought it. Everything works great. It seems to save the quality of the wine well. It does feel the tiniest bit a little cheap on the construction. Nothing has happened, but when I pump the air out of the bottles, the plastic feels a little brittle. But like I said, so far, no problems, does the job, works great, I'm happy. |

| I've had my slicer/corer for over 6 years now and it still works great. There have been one or two occasions where the pineapple "shredded", but it must have been related either to the ripeness or type of the fruit itself. The vast majority of uses have produced even, neat spirals with little or no mess. I brought some pineapple in to work today and a couple of my co-workers thought I had bought it pre-sliced!
