| don't buy this or any wok without a handle that enables you to shake the pan and move the food around with one hand while you stir or flip with the other. especially, don't try to wrap one handle in a pot holder and shake the pan while you stir with the other.
non-stick may be a non-starter for woks because browning is so slow. maybe it's best to get a good wok cookbook first or watch the guy in the Chinese restaurant at work for a minute.A good source of information before you buy a ... Read More: |

| I ordered this stainless steel pan, as I am gradually replacing my aluminum ones. I was a bit put off when I first opened the box and saw how shallow it was, but have since come to love it for that very thing. There's more pan surface on the burner, so water boils sooner. In general, everything heats up very quickly. The see through lid is great. And it's quite beautiful to look at. Clean up has been a breeze. | I have been putting off purchasing because of the $100 but it is a wonderful skillet. This is such a cook-top saver, no more mess falling over the pan with me trying to gently stir anything I put in it. This is a must have for anyone!!! | I've only had these for a short time but they were good enough for me to buy more products from Calphalon.
They're lightweight and durable. They have quite a long handle. I've only used them on my nonstick products and NO melting. I've had such an issue with that in the past. They are dishwasher safe (no melting). I'm so glad I listened to the positive reviews and purchased these. I bought a separate stainless steel canister and put them all together. | I love this pot, I use it more than any other. It's perfect particularly for sauces or gravies or anything involving a roux because the wisk can get into the corners (something that, ironically, one can't do with a so-called "sauce" pan). It heats evenly, has a nice weight (which you'll want if you cook; if you don't cook and want light, get Mirro), never sticks (if it sticks for you, your heat's up too high), and it's easy to clean (though occasionally you'll need to use Bar Keeper's Friend). One can also "flip" with it.

| 1st time I used this pan browning link sausage the inside pan bottom got a burned on, bronze film that was *very* difficult to remove. in fact, there is still a slight residue. i attribute this to the lack of extra thickness on the pan bottom. this feature is typical on other quality pans. I suspect the heat transfer was too much although i had the burner on "low." I admit to trying to save a buck vs. "All-clad" brand but wish i hadn't |
