| I only know the Calphalon Commercial Hard-Anodized products manufactured in China, so I cannot compare products to the USA days of yore. I started with a 2-1/2-quart covered shallow saucepan and liked it so much I bought another. I bought the roaster pan, the 12" everyday pan and then a beautiful 8-1/2-quart pan (all on sale at Amazon for great prices). Each serves me well.

| I buy my cookware individually so I have different types like tri-ply stainless steel, nonstick, and hard anodized from various brands. Each has its pros and cons. I've had this pan for several months now and what I like about it is it feels solid and heavy duty. It is in fact heavy so it may be unwieldy for some but its heft gives me a sense of quality. I also think it's a pretty nice looking piece. I'm happy with my purchase. |

| This is the first Calphalon pan I have purchased. After hearing how wonderful Calphalon was, I couldn't believe how poorly it preformed. It seems no matter what I prepare in this pan, it sticks and is diffcult to clean. I now rarely use it and know if it was easier to clean I would use it often. Very disappointed. |

| this pan is too shallow to use for anything but eggs. It is too steep sided to really make and toss a crepe. It is of nice quality and the nonstick surface appears nice however this pan lacks multi functional use. I have no clue where all these glowing reviews come from. |

| I am a very happy owner of way too many pieces of Calphalon, hard anodized and stainless. This pot has a good weight (not too heavy), small enough base to fit on a standard burner and still get a pan on the burner in front, if needed. The 3rd batch of home grown tomato sauce took about a 4" circle of anodizing off on the bottom.
Spoke with customer service at Calphalon, and as it happed SO quickly, they are sending a post paid return. AND, since this is discontinued...it will be replaced with ... Read More: |

| We have had the set for about 12 months and the smaller pan's surface has already started to flake. We NEVER turn these pans up over medium heat, this pan has been babied, its a disappointment. Guess its a cheaper surface on a cheaper version of Calphalon pans. |

| As always, Calphalon is my favorite cookware. So far this is no exception. Superior heat distribution and the nonstick surface is great. Of course, it is only for the stovetop since the handle is not oven-proof, but I understood that when I bought it.

| Very well made as is the case with most Calphalon. While 2-1/2 qt seems small this is a larger pan than expected with a fairly large diameter and a more shallow depth that typical saucepan. That said, it has turned out to be very useful for many daily cooking activities. Recommended. |

| don't buy this or any wok without a handle that enables you to shake the pan and move the food around with one hand while you stir or flip with the other. especially, don't try to wrap one handle in a pot holder and shake the pan while you stir with the other.
non-stick may be a non-starter for woks because browning is so slow. maybe it's best to get a good wok cookbook first or watch the guy in the Chinese restaurant at work for a minute.A good source of information before you buy a wok is The Grand Wok Cookbook |
