| This knife sharpener works really good, especially for the money. I've bought a hand held knife sharpener from Chefmate a number of years ago -- worthless. I also tried buying a sharpening stone, couldn't get a good edge on any of my knives that way. I've also tried a two stage manual knife sharpener used with filet knives, with sharpening rods, not very good for my kitchen knives.

| they are durable but if used daily will be worn out after a year...but at this price you can replace them and not sweat it. We use them for everything and they DO protect counters without anything else underthem...they wash well, and as I said before the price is right....enjoy |

| The sound created when using this product is similar to that of nails on a chalkboard, so be prepared to endure that aspect of the sharpening process. Otherwise, I have found the sharpener to work quite well. It does not perform as well on very dull knives, but I sharpened my tomato slicing knife and it now slices through tomatoes with ease. |

| I thought this would really be too small for most paring, etc., but it
isn't, and I find that I use it a lot. These Victorinox knives arrive sharp, and they stay sharp. The handles are nice, too, very slip-resistant. Good buy! |

| Very sharp, but not spot- and rust-free, even though they state they are stainless. We have had them for three weeks now, and they look a bit spotty. My hubby wanted to send them back (doesn't like spots), but I like the sharp edges, and I don't care about the spots. Ginsu knives are much sharper than Farberware! Woo-hoo! |

| I compared this Snow River Wood oil with other more expensive mineral oils, like John boo's.
Only difference is just a thickness. John Boos oil is thicker, so it does a better job with one coat. If you apply this oil twice, there is no difference. It's very easy to apply to any wood surface. And the treated surface is very water repellent for a long time. The color of end grain gets much darker than plain grains. After trying three different mineral oils, I found that basically all ...
