| this is my second Andis product. There was just something i liked about Andis, not sure...maybe it was the name "Andis." 1st clipper/trimmer I bought called the Junior or something like that, the clipping mechanism broke after a few weeks and had to be held together by tape- and finally it was on and then just blew up after around a year of light use. | Other customer reviews indicate that this may be a fine product, but I don't plan to find out. What I wish I'd known is the degree of care the trimmer calls for. To quote the instruction booklet: "Blades should be oiled before, DURING, and after each use...The clipper/trimmer should be held in a position shown in Diagram A to prevent oil from getting into motor. | If you're getting this because of the comb attachment, this is not the dryer for you. For those of us who have thick curly hair and actually need to use the comb attachment, you'll find yourself constantly having to re-start the dryer because of the high/off/lo switch being pushed. There is no way to hold this dryer while using the comb attachment that does not cause you to either toggle the switch or press the cool shot. Other than that annoyance though, it worked well. |
