| Works fairly well for an inexpensive plastic tool. I purchased this with skeptisism (could other calipers be $50 or $200 better than this?), so I had myself and two others tested with professional grade calipers by a qualified staff member at my health club. Then at home I re-measured each other using the Accu-Measure Fitness 3000 -- the measurements compared acceptably. | The measuring tape was great. The caliper itself is not user friendly, you need a second person to help out, and each time I pinch my skin I get a different reading, better off using one of the electrical scales, might not be accurate but better than this torture. |

| Assessing your body fat is an accurate method of determining your level of fitness and health.
This caliper is small and convenient. However, there are pitfalls. As you squeeze your skin fold, there is some variability from one measurement to the next due to its light construction. It is not durable over time with repetetive use and I question its validity beyond a 1 year time interval. Mine broke a little over 15 months at the 'hinge' opposite to the slide rule. | This product is small, but works great. Makes measuring body circumferences a whole lot easier - no more guessing if u made the tape too tight or too loose, and very easy to work with. |

| The problem with this caliper, is you get a different reading everytime you measure. Why bother to track your body fat when you don't even know for sure which reading is the accurate one, or maybe none of them are. I measured over and over again, and not once did I get the same reading. As far as I'm concerned this was a big waste of money. |

Once the software is installed. It is adequate, though not very intuitive. They also have online video links that require you to type in with a complicated product ID 'everytime' you use the link with no way to download the video clips onto your system, should you need them when you are not connected to the internet. That is a poorly designed feature that does not indicate to me that this software was intended for a laptop or mobile device. |
