| This is not your average canned tuna at $10.00 a tin, but if you are looking for a gourmet canned tuna experience this is it. I have seen the same product in Michigan for $17.99 a tin, so $9.99 is quite the bargain. I made a simple butter lettuce salad, flaked the tuna on top, reserving the olive oil in the tin for the dressing of sea salt, ground pepper, lemon juice and a couple of capers. It got rave reviews.

| This is good tuna, similar to Cento or Progresso, but not approaching the tuna greatness of gourmet brands such as Ortiz. It's good, but it's not great. For me, the quality does not justify the higher price and shipping costs (from a non-Amazon vendor) compared to equivalent brands. |

| I bought this as a Christmas present. You can't track the shipping through Amazon because it's sent from somewhere else. Amazon sent me an email address that I could use to contact the company about the shipment. Despite two emails to Alaska Smokehouse (one over a month ago), I still have no idea if my friends received the salmon. (Yes, I could ask my friends, but it seems tacky.) Free shipping is a great offer...but not if you never actually find out if it happened! |

| This tuna makes all others seem like flavorless moist sawdust. The texture and flavor of both the fish and the oil is exceptional. I don't waste even a drop of the oil.
After eating this tuna my husband was inspired to try to preserve tuna in a jar. Despite having high quality tuna and a good recipe, the homemade version was inedible in comparison to the Ortiz jar of tuna.
