| Simple GPS, good value for money for casual, no bells or whistles. WAAS has issue in software needs to be updated to version 2.5 I think, so be sure to buy a serial cable to update. Buy the garmin compatible it works and you save $30. |

| 1st set Amazon sent was a disappointment. The unit intermittently went off by itself, during road use/usb connection to pc.
Amazon was kind enough to send me a replacement set pretty expediently and the 2nd unit has worked like a gem. This is my 3rd Garmin GPS. My loss is the freight I because delivery charges to Singapore, Asia! |

| This is an old unit. It's big. The operating system is slow. It will freeze every once in a while. Magellan is TERRIBLE about their map updating. Magellan has TERRIBLE offshore customer support. I don't care if customer service is off shore, but let me talk to somebody who is empowered to solve my problems.
But even with it's old school computer voice, and now 2 year old maps... it works and it's better than not having a GPS. However, in 2008... get a Garmin. |

| Okay, so I am the woman that is always lost. I have lived in the same area my whole life, but if I get turned around, I am hopeless. | I've had my Legend HCx for about a week now. I upgraded from a standard eTrex Legend. It has amazing sensitivity for receiving signals. I can pick up 5 or so satellites inside my house and track my movements from room to room!
Functionality wise, it's about the same as the model I replaced. I did add a 1 gig flash card and plan to pick up the topo dvd's from garmin shortly. This unit rocks! Don't hesitate to purchase it! |

| This is probably the easiest to use golf GPS on the market. It is very easy to read outdoors and is extremely accurate. Adding or deleting reference points is a snap. The only thing I had trouble with was downloading my home course. The reason I'm writing this review is to give you a few hints so you won't have the same trouble I did.

| Had it for a few weeks now, seems to work good. It did freak out for a second a few days after I got it by completely reseting itself... screen went blank for a sec, then came back. Everything works fine though. If you never calibrated a digital compass, then I can see how it could be frustrating. Also, of course the compass needs to be recalibrated every so often. If I really needed to rely on this compass to get me somewhere, I'd recalibrate it every couple of hours. But just for the gee-whiz factor of having a compass ... Read More: |

| Worked for about two weeks. Got a message saying "No maps found, can not work without them." That's it. I have been trying to solve this problem for a few hours now, and this seems to be a fairly common problem, with no solutions so far. You would be a fool to buy this, or any other Garmin product. |

| My Earthmate GPS works great. The only thing I would change is the USB plug on the devise. It sometimes fails to make good contact and needs to be cleaned befor connection. I also would like to have control over the device odometer so I can match it up with the actual miles I have on my bike. |
