| I read the reviews and understood it was a roll of the dice. Decided to take my chances, and sure enough, in my environment I got no signal.
(Actually I did get signal between certain outlets, but none in the rooms I needed to connect.) It would be nice if there was some kind of inexpensive testing kit to determine ahead of time whether this would work. They do seem to be accustomed to returns though, the box has clear repacking instructions on the inside cover. |

| I ordered this camera because the product description stated that it allowed "users to access the camera anywhere in the world by using a Web browser." In my work, we are doing a lot of video, audio conferencing using packages such as NetMeeting, SharedView, Communicator and son on. I, naively, assumed that a product making such a claim, would be easily set up in a way that allowed me to see what was going on in my living room while I was at work, on the road or on vacation. | I own two of the older model 311's and have recently installed one of these 111's in my house. the admin menu for this camera has more options then the 311's, which are nice. The sound feature works in Firefox, while the 311's don't. The quality of the images don't seem quite as sharp as the 311, but it's still ok for home surveillance. The 111 does MPEG video, which is better then the 311 options and means that the recorded images are very portable and readable by others. I've owned both Axis and Toshiba network ... Read More: |

I use the GE alarm system as a deterrant for any intruders. It surely does not have any fancy security features, but the loud noise will surely drive anyone trying to break in away! The alarms for the windwos however, could not be placed on my specific sliding doors and windows. Overall, this basic system serves its purpose of maiking a loud annoying noise to drive people away. |

| The SVAT GX5203 is more like for baby watching purposes, not good enough for surveillance. It is also a battery eater. It looks well built, except by the fact that the batteries need to be removed to feed the monitor with the AC Adaptor. |
