| The little theater is doing a version of this after Christmas so I wanted to see the movie first. If I was younger and could sing I would audition!

| I finally watched "Dreamgirls" last weekend. Mostly I wanted to see it because it had won an Oscar, or should I say Jennifer Hudson won the Oscar for Supporting Actress. What a performance! To think she came from American Idol(and not the winner) and is such an amazing performer and actress. The movie seemed like the perfect vehicle for her rev up her movie career.

| After hearing that "Footloose" was being remade (just in time for its 25th anniversary; god I feel old) with Zac Effron of "High School Musical" fame in the lead role made famous by Kevin Bacon, I couldn't resist revisiting a movie that was a huge a part of my own high school years. | Luciano Pavarotti blessed the lives of so many. First, with the most glorious voice mankind has ever heard. Secondly, with his great charisma, passion and humanity. I can't give this DVD enough stars. It's a very carefully thought out, loving, poignant depiction of the Great Man and his music, set to seven of his most famous arias. I enjoyed every second of it and will watch it again and again.

| GREAT entertainment if you love the old Motown, Soul, and Volt-Stax Mussel Shoals studios music sound. Also good if just interested in some of the early roots and groups of this phenomonon.
