| You have to admit, it's a great premise. What would America look like and do if war was conducted on our own soil instead of across an ocean? But instead of going the conventional way of showing you anything and everything about it, director John Milius decided to give this depressing scenario a view from a bunch of high school kids. We don't even know the full extent of the attack until the middle of the movie. Interesting concept sure, but what looks good on paper almost never works when fully attempted.

| If I rated Films or TV Series based on whether I liked them, I would have rated the entire series a 5 or a 6. M*A*S*H is one of my top 10 TV Series of all time; though I am not a big fan of seasons 1-3. However there is a lot to be desired in this set because of what the DVD does not have. While it has every episode in the season and the quality of the DVD is wonderful, there seems to be something lacking.

| Usually, watching a film adaptation of a book or story is a letdown. But in the case of Legends Of The Fall I'd have to say it is advisable to read the story before watching the film as it is helpful in understanding the motivations of the characters, even though the film differs greatly from the novella.

| My mother used to talk about this movie when I was younger, and how she loved it. I finally found it on Amazon, purchased it, and invited her to watch with me. It has the look and feel of the old war (the Big One)with a slightly different twist--Ginger Rogers is a murderer on Christmas furlough. | This movie has the best dancers ever! A dancer tries to leave the USSR after a plane crash but they want to force him to stay to dance in the country. His roomates want to leave with him after they find out the wife is pregnant. Excellent movie I used to watch this movie over and over again as a child and now that I have it on DVD I'm sure I will again! |

| I was living in the States as a kid, and remember these shows like Hogan's Heroes, was allowed to watch them. Thanks to Paramount they are available for collectors. My American friends are enjoying them with me.
This show has never been aired on any German speaking TV channel until 1992. For 2005 they gave it a new translation and show on one of the commercial channels. That is what made me want to order the DVDs, so I could enjoy the original dialogue. Great fun. |

| Johnny Tremain was a tiny Disney movie on early American History (or was it myth?). Yet it captured the minds and hearts of kids and adults of the time and helped spread some historic culture throughout the land.
Having said that, the modern perspective of things has changed all this and by today's standards it is at best a nice little adventure movie, but nothing more.
