| While this movie may be set in Japan during it's early industialization, at the end of the Samurai's reign (don't take that literally), that is not what this movie is about. For anyone who's interested in what went on historically at the time, and it's acuracy, go find something else. For anyone else, especially those with friends or family who may be returning from serving overseas in Iraq or Afganastan, this movie can help give you a small glimpse of the conflict those who fight face. | Of course "AF1" has more plot holes than a Jerry Bruckheimer film, but watching this movie back in 1997 was one of the biggest cinema joys in recent years! "AF1" is a MUST for all Ford fans, as well as fans of action. Wolf Petersen is one of my favorite directors, he makes this movie 'take off' and really 'fly' with excitement. | The Anne Frank movie was amazing!! I watched, I cried and I loved it, I absolutely hope everyone sees this movie. | Well acted, well directed historical fiction about the Nazi invasion of France. Some parts too violent for young kids, but the train wrecks and explosions are masterpieces. Great movie! |

| We obtained this collection because we were curious to see films that were considered forbidden during the 1930's and it is interesting to realize what Hollywood gets away with today, vs. what was considered taboo in the early part of the 20th Century.

| I can relate to this movie STRIPES because i was in basic training in feb of 1981. the film was made 2 months before i got there my platoon sgt and staff sgt were extras in the movie. its a great movie |

| This movie is a classic. The details are solid, right down to the hack watch the co-pilot's wearing. Someone did their research, and that's a lot to ask for from Hollywood.
You will love the crew - all played by not well-known actors (save Matthew Modine and Eric Stoltz), but strong actors all the same. Funny moments, tragic moments, and suspenseful moments.
