| "Sidney Crosby: On The Ice and Beyond" is a documentary that covers a bit of Sid's life but mainly focuses on the Pittsburgh Penguins' run to the Stanley Cup Final in 2008. It is an extremely well-shot documentary and as a filmmaker myself, I can only say that I wish I had been a part of its production! | Over the years, I've been exposed to untold numbers of good, bad and indifferent documentaries. CARRIER is the best -- EVER.
Working on a ship which offered, at best, difficult working situations, the camera crews, editors, etc., were able to tell several stories about the young men and women of the Nimitz. In fact, a follow-up documentary, a "where are they now" 2 hour program would be well received. Kudos to the director and to whomever conceived this idea. |

| The first half of this video is the Teletubbies parading in front of a blue screen. At first my daughter was intrigued by the multiplying Teletubbies but soon lost interest.
Twenty minutes or so later came the live action parts and that was a little better for her. Still the only part that she liked was when the Tubbycustard machine started making bubbles. I think that there are probably better DVDs out there to get instead of this one. |

| haunting...
McNamara murders hundreds of thousands during his career, and then finds a way to forgive himself anyway. A must see, that is well shot and scored, unique, and worth watching multiple times. |

| This documentary is so fantastic, I hardly knew that it was one. The photography is brilliant, and it is a well written factual film. It makes you feel what the Indians mush have felt at the injustices they suffered. 500 NationsKevin Costner did a fantastic job, as did the rest of the crew. I actually felt like I was on the Trail of TearsThe Trail of Tears: Cherokee Legacy, and at Wounded KneeBury My Heart at Wounded Knee. I now have a much deeper respect for my ancestors, well at least the Red ones. |

| This is another outstanding British series with excellent production values and plenty for everyone. The makers clearly took full advantage of the pre-Olympic mandated official Chinese tolerance of western journalists, and traveled the length and breadth of the country to document its seldom-seen wildlife. The results are stunning. Each episode covers a geographical area and the focus is largely on photogenic megafauna, but there is so much that is new that this is an acceptable gloss.

| OK I did not mean to see it 6+ times but, I actually saw it on the "big screen" when it was shown at a conference. Then, two weeks later, at another conference on a really big screen. Both with design oriented audiences but one in the U.S. and one in Europe. It was interesting to see what the two audiences found funny, or not.
