| M Night is a bad writer. The dialog was so bad it distracted from the movie. I really wanted to like this movie as I love post-apocalyptic plots, however, this movie was far too boring. There really is no reason to ever watch this one again. The plot and acting were very thin... Now that I think about it, the story was stupid too. Very disappointing.
If you like post-apocalyptic stories, watch 28 Days Later instead. |

| Great price on brand new "The Wire" season 5 - the final season. After watching seasons 1 - 4 in the months before, on DVD - I was very anxious to see the final season and was thrilled that everything was wrapped up nicely. A few cast members don't make it until the end - but that was to be expected in this wonderful crime drama, set in the hard streets of Baltimore (not all streets there are hard!! as it's a nice city!!) - but the writers/producers found a way to tie up all loose ends to the viewers' satisfaction. | I enjoyed this flick. While it's not among what I consider to be the A ranking action, sci-fi or superhero flicks, it certainly rates a B on my scale. I found it entertaining, though imperfect. I would still recommend it.
It's got some humor scattered here and there, with a couple of really funny moments. They are packaged in standard DVD cases just as if you were buying them separately in a store....except you are getting each for about 1/3 to 1/2 the price you would pay for them separately. Actually I think Paul Newman's performance is better in these 3 movies than in some of his pot-boilers like Cat On a Hot Tin Roof or The Long Hot Summer (where his performances seem stiff and over-acted).
