| It is painful when you have to review a film for what it IS, without influencing your opinons with how great the author is, how decent the costuming was, or how attractive the actors were in their roles.

| I just finished watching Cranford and was moved in all my emotions. It is a beautiful piece about friendship, sacrifice, loyalty, mercy, regrets, new hope, and romantic love at ALL stages of life. I can truly say this is a film that WILL stay with me for months and years. While I found it dark at times (a couple grim surgeries and the oppressive poverty of a major character) the film was a mix of sun and shade, just as life. | This movie is about Howard Hughes who was an amazing man who suffered from a severe case of OCD. I loved this movie because it didn't show the disease comically. Leonardo DiCaprio took time researching it and really gets the audience to understand how horrible the diease can be and how Howard Hughes struggled with it. Back in those times, it was not as known and studied so treatment was not really there.
