| Hype can work against anything that is mediocre. If it doesn't live up to the hype, it becomes a bigger disappointment than would have without the hype. This movie, Ironman, was just an ordinary action movie. Personally, there are too may holes in the plot to live up to Stan Lee's reputation. When you are expecting the detail and original ideas generated in comics or graphic novels you know that plot lines and details really matter. This movie didn't live up to that scrutiny.

| To be very honest, I debated on whether or not to purchase this edition of Sleeping Beauty because I have the 2003 version. I was skeptical because I was afraid that the bonus features on this new edition would excluded the Grand Canyon featurette and the Story of Peter Tchaikovsky until lo and behold, it was included. I have yet to have seen all of the bonus features of the DVD but the film looks and sounds greater than the 2003 version I noticed more detail and the sound was outstanding. The Disneyland ... | Dreamworks has enjoyed a commercially successful, but critically questionable run of animated films. In the midst of the Shrek Trilogy, Over the Hedge, and Curse of the WereRabbit lie Shark's Tale, Sinbad, and Spirit.
The studio seems to be fumbling for the secret ingredient - well, here they've found it. | I did not have high hopes for Speed Racer when I saw it at the I-Max in May 2008, but I was completely blown away by it. The movie is non-stop fun from beginning to end! It truly recreates the spirit of the cartoon and then some. The colors and style of the film are amazing! I watched it again on DVD last week and it still remains the best film I've seen this year. It's a shame that so many moviegoers listen to what critics say; they truly missed out on an excellent film! Go Buy Speed! Go! |
