LOST Season 4 was my favorite season and included my favorite episode thus far, "The Constant." I'm consistently amazed how LOST is ever expanding in scope and in story telling. I love the mythology of this show.

The Coens return to "Fargo" territory with a blood-soaked tale of local yokels coming up against big city criminals, however, this time the result is completely reversed. Javier Bardem is creepy as a "grim reaper" type and Josh Brolin is excellent as an opportunist who gets in way over his head. Tommy Lee Jones and Woody Harrelson have small but telling parts as an old cop and "fixer", respectively. The only thing that detracts from this film - and the same is true of all Coen films - is the frequent and unnecessary ... Read More:

Apart from Viggo Mortensen, this movie is a waste of time. If they had acted it just a bit more over the top, it would have been a fine dark comedy. As it is, it's just dull and unrealistic. The violence is graphic and lurid, but doesn't add much to theme or plot. I felt it was gratuitous. If you want to see a much better movie about Russian mob life, try either "Brat" (Brother), "Brat II", or "Friend of the Deceased" (Ukrainian film). These three films have a lot more to say about life in the criminal trades, and just being human, ... Read More:

This movie looks great in the Blu-Ray format. The Las Vegas scenery is gorgeous. The story is interesting and the characters are believable.

I was overwhelmed by this production of Hamlet. Kenneth Branagh is wonderful and plays the part of Hamlet with such sensitivity and vitality - makes the unabridged lines accessible, even to people unused to Shakespeare. Kate Winslet is excellent. The whole cast and the scenes - especially the scenes - are staggeringly good. The only Hamlet on film, worth watching! Kenneth Branagh is a genius.

Rebecca (1940) is the only film directed by Alfred Hitchcock that won an Oscar as best picture and it is also his first american film. It certainly has many of Hitch's trademarks (the opening sequence for example)but imho it is an overrated film, the performances are dull with the exceptcion of Judith Anderson`s role and the script is weak. Suspicion , Notorius , Strangers on a Train are by far better films in which the Master of Suspense displays all his genius. Sincerely I expected a more interesting film.

Does anyone know if this DVD has been re-released? I have the original DVD when it first came out and you have to flip the DVD over to see the last 20 minutes of the movie and that's not cool.

This film is one that requires the watcher to immerse oneself in another world. A world of cold war tensions, clandestine operations, high level plants and communist witch hunts. Historical facts not with standing, it is a very enjoyable film and is very well done. The pacing and character development is second to none. The movie is star studded and the talent of those present is easily recognizable.
It does not have 21 cars exploding, bullet time kung fu or little kids out smarting adults, so I suspect the general public of subhuman idiots that is today's ... Read More:

I hardly made it through this movie. I love Viggo Mortensen, and that's the only reason I stuck with it. The acting was sub par and left a LOT to be desired. Everyone was very monotone and inexpressive. The plot had the potential to be interesting, but wasn't followed through with. The soundtrack also was uninteresting and didn't really add to the film. If you want an interesting action movie, look elsewhere.

I am a big fan of both Grace Kelly and Alfred Hitchcock, but I really think this film is ridiculous. We are made to believe that somehow this photographer (Stewart) is holed up in his shoddy back-alley apartment due to an injury, but his gorgeous socialite girlfriend (Kelly) is not at all averse to hanging out there constantly. She looks as out of place as a Tiffany lamp in a public restroom. There is also a ridiculous attempt at sexualizing Kelly, involving her showing Stewart a piece of not-so-revealing lingerie (not even wearing, just showing) as "a taste of things to come." ...
