| This movie is hugely underrated, and often poorly misrepresented. At least it appears so from a lot of these reviews.
Perhaps as others have said, it was and still is marketed incorrectly, as some believe the absence of "War-like Violence" leaves much to be desired. But define war?? At least in its true, non text book sense and this movie will speak volumes. | Why is it that all the good shows get canceled? My fiancee had this on his Amazon wish list for his birthday, and I got it for him. We watched it together and it is an amazing series! The characters will grab you and you won't want to let go. The only let down is that there is only one season and we wanted more! |

| After the end of the Gulf War, four American soldiers (George Clooney, Mark Wahlberg, Ice Cube and Spike Jonze) stumble across a map (in the rear of an Iraqi prisoner, no less) that gives the location of a cache of Kuwaiti gold bullion that had been stolen by Saddam Hussain. | As a vet of the Iraq war I can say this is a very well made story of one unit and what they faced. War is not exciting, or pretty and this shows how it happens and the effects on those left at home. |

| Bottom line- has some nuggets of wisdom for people to ponder, but not arrayed in a logical fashion.
The format of this documentary is a little disjointed. However, this is a good piece to watch if you are interested in the media aspect of war, and what the effects are. It raises good questions like what is the difference in the impact of seeing a dead American on TV vice a dead Arab? And from which audience- an American one or an Arab one? | Uncovered disappointed me a lot. I have heard great things about Robert Greenwald documentaries and asked for the set of his movies last Christmas. I haven't seen the others yet, but this one is fast talking, quickly cut and unclear. I don't feel the movie makes it case. I have no doubt that the Iraq War was manufactured and have always believed that. My experience with the Iraq War was that it was an obvious lie from the beginning and obvious to most people in the country.
