| This is a brief correction to Vlad48's review, "Wiped Clean by A&E" -- Just to set the record straight, A&E (the releasing agent for this set) is not responsible for bowdlerizing the contents. The programs here are taken from the US distribution versions, not the original BBC masters. These are the versions shown on PBS back in the 1970s, and in America ever since.

| I've been following Doctor Who for a long time. I wasn't able to do so actually FROM the beginning (I was only about 2 when it started!), but public TV in my area aired a lot of it. My favorite Doctor has always been a tie between Tom Baker's crazy-like-a-fox and the elegant gentleman of Jon Pertwee's reign.

| Like all the Monty Python alumni, John Cleese is talented and funny. From Monty Python (of course) to A Fish Called Wanda, Cleese always just makes me laugh.
And it is not different in Fawlty Towers, where he is at his acerbic and crazy best as the owner of a hotel where circumstances always leads to laughs, and Cleese is surrounded with other actos who do a great job. | The potential of this beautifully filmed show is seriously tarnished by the preachy 'humans suck' message. I get enough of this in my daily life. I'd rather not have it fed to me in every single movie, TV show, etc... that I watch. I watch these things to get away from reality for a few minutes...
