| This may sound weird and while it is a fantastic match, the picture quality of DVD 1 is quite poor considering it is a 2008 recording, though oddly enough DVD 2 which is the fifth set is of much better quality. I have purchased a lot of matches from Kultur (including the 2007 Final between them) all of which have been high quality, but quite honestly i was dissapointed and surprised by the overall recording quality of this match. | Somewhat underwhelming. There were a few good shots back then, but it's amazing how much faster, harder, and more exciting today's tennis is. You feel like you are really watching an antique. Low production values on the film as well. Boring old English announcers. Slow pace. But interesting for historical value if you are a student of the game. |

| This is an absolute classic tennis match - one of the best I've ever seen. The fifth set will surely go down in tennis history.
The DVD is incorrectly listed on Amazon as 180 minutes and 1 disc. It is in fact 260 minutes (the full length) and comes on 2 discs. | A good match, but the 2007 and 2008 nadal federer finals had better quality tennis in them. Dont get me wrong, sampras was a great player but the tennis in here doesnt really show it. The majority of the points are quick and nothing too exciting. This match is just a symbol, the changing of the guard, thats all. If you are looking for good quality tennis, the nadal federer finals are the ones to watch |

| I was glad to get this DVD, mostly because of Arthur Ashe. This is the first DVD that I know of that shows him in a tennis match. I was amazed to see how fast these guys serve the ball - not for the speed of the ball when served but for how little time they took between each ended point to serve the ball. It's a big contrast to the way the game is played now. There was no reviewing of points played, they just played. Very impressive! |

I was amazed to see how fast these guys serve the ball - not for the speed of the ball when served but for how little time they took between each ended point to serve the ball. It's a big contrast to the way the game is played now. There was no reviewing of points played, they just played. Very impressive! |
