| This DVD is quite enjoyable...it is a great way for the belly dancer to refine his/her techniques and get a full dance workout. The content of the video seems to have more of an artistic approach, as opposed to just doing one drill after another. (Don't get me wrong, drills are great, but sometimes I get bored with them and I just want to dance!) The combos flow nicely together and the choice of music fits well in each section. | I have only completed 40 minutes of the video so far, but I had to stop to write and say that I am thrilled with Jenna's instruction! Within 15 seconds of her teaching, I could see that I was going to learn the absolute breakdown of all of the bellydancing moves I learned in the past. Not only is the mirror perfectly placed so that you can align yourself with her moves, but the closer frontal view gives you a different perspective as well.

Personally I like the 'abs and arms' part better than the 'buns and thighs' part, but that is also because I use slightly different techniques in bellydancing. For the bellydancer this dvd offers a useful workout to strengthen the muscles used in dancing, and for the non-bellydancer it offers a useful workout to get into shape all the same. | If you are middle to advanced bellydancer, you can, and should have this DVD. It has step by step instructions on turns and transitions, and includes two complete choreography. Excellent DVD, and Jenna is an amazing, beautiful dancer. Congratulations. |

| About a year ago, I started having serious problems with pain in my right shoulder because of arthritis in that shoulder--I drive 30,000 miles a year for work. I decided that if I had to move my arm a lot in order to make it better, which is the least invasive treatment for garden-variety osteoarthritis in your shoulders, I was going to do something that wouldn't remind me that I was doing the exercises because of arthritis. | I've been wanting to learn belly dance for quite some time. I originally had a set from Dolphina, and I was largely unimpressed. The way it was shot made it difficult to learn the moves, and thus I left it alone for awhile.
This is by far a superior set to the one that I had before, and I was incredibly happy that I was able to see the moves being done! | I love Rachel Brice, so it's hard to only give her 4 stars.
These are drills, as stated, and they are good drills. Practicing this DVD regularly has helped my control as a dancer. I have two complaints. 1.) There is only 40 minutes of instruction, not 78. Both the 15 minute practice and the 30 minute practice contain the same moves as the 40 minute practice. They are recorded end to end, 15 min., 30 min, 40 min, and her performance at the end, to equal 78 minutes. 2.) This doesn't contain ... Read More: |
