| We are very pleased with this set. The titles are both familiar--like ones from Ezra Jack Keats and Robert McCloskey--and new. But the DVDs are all well-done, with excellent music and voice-overs. Some of them, particularly the Antarctic Antics, are hilarious. Some are winsome. None, to quote Chrysanthemum's father, are jaundiced. | Big season 1 fan and absolutely loveddddd season 2...well except for the ending..and if you've seen it you know what i mean...I saw the previews last year and watched it like a fan hahah every sunday...Definitely glad it came out on dvd because I got tired of watching on the lifetime website. | All I know is that this movie mesmarized me as an 18 year old boy in 1982 just coming to terms with being gay.(It explores the homosexual theme a lot)I had never seen a real "movie" that was almost like a porno film before.I thought it was as funny as it was decadant and violent. Some of the quips by the characters are hilarious.I love it when Nerva asks Tiberius "How could I go on living with this (pause)reptile"? as he gave Caligula a dirty look. |
