| I am enjoying watching the episodes of this great series. However, I really have to agree with the general concensus of most people who complain about the two-sided disks. I really hate them. My Toshiba disk player could not get into two different episodes because the machine froze up on me. So that's two episodes that I could not watch. Universal really should put these out on better quality disks. Other than that, I really enjoy watchine this series on DVDs. |

| This movie is a classic and well worth owning. I try to watch this movie at least once a year because I love it so much. If for nothing else, watch this movie to see Mickey Rourke as a young actor who had all the looks any guy could hope for. The acting of Rourke and Eric Roberts is great and they do a great job connecting in this movie. I thought that Daryl Hannah was the worst in this movie, but she doesn't really matter too much. | When this program was running on Australian TV of course there were no such things as DVD recorders or Video recorders. So if there were two great shows on at the same time slot you missed one. This was the case with Cheyenne and Maverick, 77 Sunset Strip and Bonanza and worst of all Perry Mason and The Untouchables. These were two giant programs and it was a killer to miss one of them. | Season 2, volume 1 of the original "Untouchables" is now out. Historically, this series is about as accurate as "The Flintstones," but it's riveting crime melodrama nonetheless. (The original series is about 500 times better than the mediocre big-screen Brian De Palma 1980s film with the colorless Kevin Costner as Eliot Ness. | Gritty naturalism and Altman-esque crosstalk amid great Bay City location work inform this 70s procedural that entertains but misses the mark of being a classic. The picture's overlong with a few too many red herrings. Things pick up for the climax. (Indeed, the ingenious plot could be due for a remake.)
Matthau is suitably low-key in the picture's admirably unsparing picture of the cop's home life. Lou and Bruce are along to jack up the energy. |

Shot in documentary style, "Murder, Inc." is long on talk and short on action. For a movie concerning an association of hit men, it comes as an unwelcome surprise that there would be so little action, so few murders.
