First off, Amazon should separate the reviews for the 3-D DVD release and the standard version. They are not the same product. I am extremely disappointed that Robert Zemeckis allowed this so called 3-D version to ever reach the shelves. IT IS UNWATCHABLE. I feel like I was ripped off. Didn't anyone do quality control? Someone has made a lot of money ruining the trustworthy names of Tom Hanks and Robert Zemecus. No longer can we rely on these people to provide a quality product. I am very ... Read More:

Back to the future is my favorite movie of all time. From beginning to end it is so beautifully executed. Top notch directing, acting and editing with a score to rival "Star Wars". A sweet film the whole family can enjoy, they don't make'em like this anymore. The sequel's were fun too, but this puppy is lighting in a bottle!

I remember seeing it when it first came out... I was 10. The movie scared the crap out of me! Now I see how funny it is and it sends a clear message about vanity. The actresses play their parts well and Bruce Willis' character is so annoyingly pathetic! I love this movie and I'm so glad I finally bought it.

This is a very inventive, technically brilliant cartoon. It has a lot of incredibly funny scenes and a great many superb comic in jokes.

For the time this was made, the special effects are stunning. This is a great piece of entertainment.

Looking back in time modern science fiction had one of its main scientists, writers, philosophers and visionaires in one name: Carl Sagan, the author of the novel in which is based the movie.

The making of the movie gives a very near and sub-realistic intent in the searching of "green littles", all right that maybe means "live in Mars", "Aliens" or just "ET's" but in a very intelligent secuence. Jodie Foster who interprets the scientist Eleanor Arroway and in along the movie is the principal ... Read More:

As the story starts we are treated to a realistic western and look back at the cover to be sure we have the correct DVD. Yep it is the correct one.

A romance novelist, Joan Wilder (Kathleen Turner of "Body Heat" 1981 fame) wants to fall in love with the type of hero she created in her novels. Fat chance she has hanging around her New York City apartment.

Perchance her sister Elaine (Mary Ellen Trainor), looking for the other body parts of Elaine's dismembered husband, is kidnapped and ransomed ... Read More:

This is just one of those good movies you can watch over and over. My kids had never seen it and they fell in love! My son was particularly attached to "Wilson"! Its a great story.

If you've never seen it, definitely check it out. It has aged surprisingly well and is good for a lot of laughs. But if you are like me, and grew up seeing this (i.e., its severely edited version) on TV once a year or so throughout the 90s, you might be in for a shock. All the jokes are still there, but there is loads of profanity. So much so that you might no longer recognize it as one of your long-lost favorites.
