| This is probably one of the best Paramount releases out there. I first got an I Love Lucy on Christmas of 2004 and it was the second season set. About two years later, I was at Best Buy and got the slim packet of the first season. It was even better than season two! The episodes are clean and crisp and I wouldn't be suprised if they look better than they did when they first aired on CBS. | I have always enjoyed watching Doris Days movies and this was such a nice surprise that I could get this movie so easy and so cheap. It is a cute movie with Doris Day and the actor that played her husband Rod Taylor. She is so funy and she can be so serious in the movies she has been in and this movie is just so funny. I loved this movie and I am so pleased that I can get movies like this so easy. |

| This DVD was okay, but not what I had hoped. There are 5 shows: Jack Benny's Christmas, Jack Benny's New Year (rather droll), Ozzie and Harriet's Christmases, and Beverly Hillbillies Christmas. The best episode in my opinion was of Ozzie and Harriet with Ozzie being too busy at Christmas. Very funny. I have that on VHS and liked it so much I bought this DVD when I found out it was on it. | If you have never seen green acres then I would recommend that you buy a copy to see if you like it but if you have already seen green acres then I would buy the complete season that has been released so far. If you are a big comedy fan or just love comedy then you will for sure love this so I would buy the complete season of each one as well. I have all three seasons and wishing they would release the rest of them so I can complete my collection. |

| This is a great DVD if you only want the first four episodes. Instead of buying all of the individual DVDs for season one like my family did, buy the box set of the complete season one instead. You save money and there are more episodes per DVD in the boxed set. Don't waste your money, you get exactly the same thing. |

| This DVD set is way worse than the VHS version! The sound is way off, the picture isn't good, and you have to turn the volume to about 30 in order to hear it! The picture quality is crummy and like I said before, the sound is off! The VHS tapes are 10x better! However, seasons 2-6 are good...much better job. They practically destroyed season 1 though on this DVD transfer. Not worth it. By the way, who in the hell would spend all that time writing a review listing & describing all of the episodes! | Season 1 is in high gear with this disc, which delivers laughs in every episode. "The Gossip" opens the disc. This is a personal favorite even if it's not a popular one. When Fred and Ricky bet Ethel and Lucy over who can go longer without gossiping, the men scheme to win the bet. While the surprise at the ending got me the first time around, this episode is worth it for the charades at the beginning alone. "Pioneer Women" involves another bet between the two couples. This is my all time favorite episode. Depending on the day and the mood, all I Love Lucy episodes are good. There is enough variety in their comedy for everyone. I Love Lucy is timeless in its appeal. Everyone should enjoy "Breaking the Lease" at least once. There was much enjoyment in getting barrel laughs out of the Mertzes trying to kick the Ricardos out of their apartment. The Mertzes fumed at each little noise the Ricardos made above them.
