| Al Gore would probably like this movie, but Michelle Polk rates it at zero! A gory movie which made little sense. Oh, I get the whole propaganda theme but the movie itself was just stupid. Suicide after suicide is committed because the plants are angry with humans. It might make a good sci-fi book but to watch those scenes over and over was just too rough! |

| There is not a lot of negative that can be said about this movie. I saw it in the dollar theatre in early 2000 and was totally taken away by it. The tone, score, screen play, and acting are all supurb.

| Very well done movie and a step towards returning to the form and style of his first successes (rather than the disappointing "Lady in the Water"). M Knight continues to excell as always at setting a scene and a mood, and Mark Wahlberg and Zoe Deschanel are excellent, Betty Buckley fantastic and absolutely scarey. | M Night lost my respect with "The Happening", and I hope it's temporary, as I prefer films with weight. His films, conceptually, always seem to want to convey a deeper message, meaning or metaphor. This is welcomed for me, but this film, Lady in the Water was a mess. The characters seemed to be created like caricatures, and for me, could not be taken seriously. The film felt 10 hrs long, and the entire film was a garbled mess for me. PQ and AQ clear, but not the best. Technically-4/5. Film 1/5. Ugh. |

| The polarization of opinions concerning director M. Night Shyamalan should not keep you from giving this Blu-ray a chance. I won't argue that this movie is the finest Shyamalan has to offer, but I will tell you that for its fans and those who enjoy a well-crafted thriller Signs is a good Blu-ray disc. | This film represents a refreshing take on the comic book genre. Bruce Willis and Samuel Jackson give great performances. Tonally, Unbreakable is excellent, although it does move slowly at times. This show let me know that M. Night was not a fluke. After seeing it, I was a Shyamalan fan.

| Simply put, this is one of the best movies I've ever seen. There are a few slow parts in the movie which could have easily been eliminated, but the content was overwhelming and the story compelling.
It's a story of a boy's awakening to his spirtual side and his quest to find meaning in a confusing world. He faces mockery from some and kindness from unexpected sources and, in the end, finds himself 'wide awake' for the first time.
