| I had to review What About Bob? because this is one of the few comedies that almost everyone related to me really seems to like. I know just about every line by heart and sometimes can't help but say them out loud before the character does.

| I don't tend to watch movies over and over. However, I do have favorites and do watch them again and again over the years. For both my wife and me, this is the number one favorite. We watch it about twice a year. As others here have mentioned, it is a mood elevator. I ease into it with anticipation until the chair shopping scene. After that, I just go with the flow of it on my cloud nine all the way through. |

| If you want a good laugh, this movie is the answer. The premise is fresh, the plot keeps you on your toes, not knowing where it is going, but you love watching it all happen.

| I heard that this remake was terrible, but finally caught it on TV and found myself laughing more than most comedies. I loved Kidman and Midler's neurotic characterizations. A lot of the jokes/cuts were cheap but still worked in the context of a low comedy that was just fun and seemed not to pretend to be much more.
