| Sometimes when someone wants to update an older movie they try to add things. What was added here was hokey. The original book and movie made it seem like something like this could actually happen but this version introduced black holes and time travel and instead turned into a television version of a B movie. | One of my all-time favorite Gene Wilder movies. A true gem of a story which shows a wide range of Mr. Wilder's talent. The viewer can really connect with his character's struggle as he makes his way across a often hostile young America. |

| It is beyond me what the Amazon.com reviewer found so wrong with this film. Now, I haven't seen the original (Cruezot's Wages of Fear, 1955) and I'm sure it's magnificent, but if anything I think that our reviewer is so affected by his loyalty to the original film that he is unable to watch Sorcerer with an impartial eye. Too bad for him, because he missed an unforgettable experience.

| The transfer of this film appears to be the same MPEG transfer as the one used for the DVD version. It DOES NOT appear to be a new 1080p 4k re-mastering of the film. This is not to say that it doesn't look much better in Blu-Ray than it does on DVD. But it is not, evidently, a brand new 1080p 4k transfer made expressly for Blu-Ray release. This can cause some problems, depending on your display system and settings. You may have to select a different input palette or profile on your display, or adjust your settings. ... Read More: |

| Recently watching Badlands for the second time, I was less impressed than after the original viewing. But I figure enough people have given their reasons for liking or not liking the movie, so instead I'll throw out a couple thoughts upon watching it. For one, the couple is never in the actual Badlands of the Dakotas. They spend all their time on the Plains, unless I'm mistaken, whether it's the town they first live in, their holdout by the river, or their drive through the flat landscape. | A lot of over (or under) acting. Director doesn't make you 'believe' that the main character really is a secret agent. Mainly about a guy that sleeps around with all the women he can find. He's like a male prostitute but without the money. You hear that he sleeps with a married woman. Rather disgusting to see a producer/writer that would allow that in a film with his name on it; disgraceful for my money. | This boxed disk was very well marketed, with a nice picture of Catherine Bach on the cover(which sadly you don't see in the film). The film's only redeeming feature I think is that you catch the only semi nude glimpse of this firm young actress who aspires to every young Petrol Head's fantasy as "Daisy Duke".
