| I was surprised I actually liked this movie as I usually avoid "cutesy romances" like the plague. This was well done and really is a movie one can easily relate to.

It happens very seldom that a sequel doesn't flop and disappear in comparison to its predecessor. D2, however is one of the few that hold strong with the original Mighty Ducks film. Most of the young stars return in this film, and those who do not are replaced by much more interesting team members, including a bash brother and a hog-tying cowboy. | This is a really good Hallmark movie if a little sappy at times. I think Vanessa Redgrave- who is always phenomenal- as Esther Huish was a good casting choice. The best parts in the movie are scenes with her and Chad Willet and how she teaches him about love, forgiveness, and never giving up hope. Some of the scenes are a little corny but the movie really speaks volumes about life's important things. It is interesting to see how Chad Willet's character Michael evolves through the movie into someone who can love and be loved and isn't burdened by resentment. Also, I really liked how ... | This film squanders the considerable talents of several A-list actors with an unbelievable plot and a predictable and moralizing ending.
It's not that I disagree with the theme - I'm no fan of guns - but the concept of the film is simply ludicrous. I won't give away any details, but suffice it to say that this film thinks that conspiracy - no matter how silly, and twists - no matter how nonsensical, will somehow add up to an engaging court drama. | I bought this DVD for Queen of the Damned (awesome vampire movie!), but Gothika was an added bonus. What could go wrong when you settle in with some popcorn watching the great Robert Downey Jr.?
