| Jonathan Demme's version of "The Manchurian Candidate" was a favorite film of mine that recently came to my DVD collection as the result of a great price. Demme won the Oscar for directing "Silence of the Lambs" in 1991. I enjoyed watching the DVD extra interviews with him, only wondering why he didn't use a razor. :)

| It is an absolutely wonderful movie. It's not for everyone, only those who like a character driven story measuredly unfolding in front of their eyes. It is romantic, but unsentimental, smart, has depth and texture. Every aspect of the movie is perfectly done. |

| I must say, this is a fabulous romantic comedy. It's flirty and fun, while still maintaining a level of class. Despite have a time-loopy premise to it, the primary focus is on chivalry and the timelessness of 'classic romance'. Another great quality of the film is that it is CLEAN. | When I first saw Twilight in 1998 I knew I was watching a valuable classic. We need a few more like Twilight these days to add intelligence that recent movies with action and adventure lack. We need less high-tech-special-affects and more intriguing dialogue which includes humor, wit and wisdom that Twilight provides in abundance.

| I can't believe I'd never seen this movie until this week! I found it on the shelf in my local library's movie section and was intrigued by the title.
Diane Lane (who's never made a bad movie, IMO) and the gorgeous Viggo Mortensen are smokin' hot in this amazing movie set in 1969 at the cusp of a new period in all our lives. | Regardless of the review of this movie, I think this is the funniest movie during the most stressfull time of the year! Who can forget the seaside strangler and the unique way of regifting the infamous fruitcake! A must see movie!! |

| The movie has a great story line but some of the acting is a little unbelievable. In a perfect world I would remake it, cast my own script,rewrite some of the lines, and add more drama. Enjoyable enough but not a movie I would want to see more than once a year. |

| I recently bought the Scream boxset for a very good price. I watched the first one and I was highly disappointed. The references to other movies got annoying and I hated the cast. I prefer 70's and 80's horror to most of the junk in horror today. It had a few good scenes but wasnt too impressed.
I think Wes Craven is overrated. Ive stated this on anther one of his movies, i've even checked out the Interet movie database to see what he has done. Nightmare on Elm Street is a classic and probably his best work. His other movies were decent but nothing could ... Read More: |
