| Many shows are entertaining, many shows are worth watching or purchasing, but hardly any show is as beautiful and pure as Pushing Daisies. Gorgeous, heartwarming (but never groan-worthy), and just GOOD in every sense of the word, this show deserved far more than two truncated seasons. Please, if you are even slightly interested, buy these DVDs now! Good enough sales may at least get us a finale, and it's actually a very good deal at this price as well. |

| There isn't much I can add to the many positive reviews here by way of recapping the plot, so I will only comment upon the sheer beauty of this wonderful, unusual film. You simply must see it on Blu-ray, on as large a screen as possible*. I was mesmerized by it. Add to the stunning visuals the thoroughly heartwarming performance of little Catinca Untaru, and you have one of the most charming, yet mind-blowing, films I've ever seen.

| The main character is a tool and I don't like him and I don't like his terrible life but that's not why I didn't care too much for this film (of course). It's entirely possible to do a movie about an unlikable and even bland character that makes him interesting and sympathetic. In this character study the creation of an even mildly compelling character whose life we take any real interest in was simply not accomplished. | Of course a show this delightful wouldn't endure.
It says much about some of the state of entertainment when something my husband and I are enjoying is something we turn to each other and say, "Great show, shame it won't last." Too often, we're right. But thanks to life after death via DVD, we can remain fans of material we recognized as quality and inventive programming. | Yes, it is goofy. Yes it is made by the same guy who made the pseudo-Conan THE SWORD AND THE SORCERER. Still, it's entertaining. Actually, I think it is actually better than the original (how did Wes Craven get hooked into that one?).
