Despite the high regard many romantics hold for this film, I find it predictable and bare-boned in its plot, as were many early films. Many excellent romantic movies have been made over the ensuing decades, but you should watch Casablanca at least once, for it has influenced the English language.

This is a moving true story. I was not impressed with Andrew
McCarthy in the movie. I think they could have found a better actor. It was nice to see Michael Learned in the role as an employee of the adoptive agency. Since she will always be remembered as 'Olivia Walton'.It was nice to see her playing a different role and doing a nice job. This movie will have you crying both tears of sadness and joy.Highly Recommend it.

This is not a story about diamonds but a beautiful story about the father and son's bonding. It begins with the old dad played by Kirk Douglas, who always brags about having a dozen of magic diamonds hidding somewhere, worth millions of dollars. None of his children believes him. Until someday, his grandson listens and excites about it. He drags his dad (played by Dan Aykroyd) to help his grandfather to find those diamonds. Adventure begins. Throughout the journey, they not only fix up but also strengthen ... Read More:

America is the greatest country in the world. We export some fantastic things. But our campaign tactics are not our greatest strength. That said, our campaigning is better than anything Russia had to work with. So a few American experts in modern American campaigning went to Russia to help get Yeltsin reelected. We can argue all day as to whether or not he was a fine Russian president, but compared to another communist, he was the best we all could get.

Fifty bucks? Are these sellers kidding?

Don't get me wrong. Of all the documentaries made about Bruce Lee over the past 30+ years, this one is by far the most essential. Not only is it an insightful look into Lee's life, it also (rather famously) offers rare footage of the scenes HE HIMSELF filmed for Game Of Death. All things considered, this documentary is every bit as essential as his four REAL films.

That said, the reason this DVD went out of print is because it's now obsolete. It can be found ... Read More:

This movie is terrible. I'll tell it like it is. I never read the original 1970's comic magazine, but I have the comics that come after 1992, so I don't know how well this follows the original story line. From reading other reviews, it apparently doesn't.

Some people may remember in the 80's when they started trying to get comic books into the movies. This is probably the worst attempt during the first stint at trying to transfer comics to movies (though this came out in like '96). Even "The Punisher" with ... Read More:

I watched the full documentary on a channel (I believe it was Encore), and, it's very amusing. But nothing you need to spend more than $8 on. Unless of course, you're dying for the interviews with Joseph Stefano and Bob Clark, now that they've both passed away since the documentary was completed.

It covers practically all the slasher films. But it's 88 minutes, so, they use most of them to make a point, go in and get out as fast as they can. The best thing about it is that you get interviews with Felissa Rose (who is always ... Read More:

This is an old movie. I certaintly wouldnt buy it as a standard watch film. It is cool though to show off an HD tv with the WMVHD format.

DVD : Matinee
My wife and I have set aside 6 to 8 movies that we put on when we just can't think of anything else to watch. These are the movies that are so special and such a delight to watch that we never seem to get tired of them. Matinee is one of those movies. There's something comfortable and familiar in Matinee. I love period films anyway, especially those that remind me of a time in my own life. And even in the midst of a potential nuclear conflict (the Cuban missle crisis) it still reminds me of a simpler time. I love the Key West setting, and all the ... Read More:

DVD : A Man in Love
I have my guestroom dedicated to this film. Promo posters from around the globe - it is my all time favorite film (and Peter Coyote's favorite of his own work as well). Serious star studded cast, Coyote is still a respected, recognized actor even if he lacks the fame warranted by his talent. Greta is at her most exquisite as is Cardinale. Jamie Lee Curtis' brief appearance as short as her ponytail in the film is refreshing as she plays the jilted yet committed wife. Peter Riegert and the late John Berry, both character actors you know you've seen before (if you ... Read More:
