| One of those movies you watch every time it comes on television because it's so cute, yet one of those movies you're almost ashamed to adore because it has almost no redemptive features; `Pretty Woman' has become an instant classic for almost no reasons at all. | If you are a Tom Selleck fan you can't go wrong with this Western classic. Tom portrays Matthew Quigley, a dignified gunslinger who has grown weary of his sharpshooter reputation. While the plot is fairly simple it is rewarding to see Quigley do the right thing without a second thought. Such a charismatic role for Selleck. A good film for the entire family, as long as the kids are over 9 or 10. |

| One of the smartest and all around cleverest films I've had the pleasure of ever seeing; `Sex, Lies and Videotape' is a very moving and poignant study of the effect that sex has on our lives. Taking four individuals and placing them under scrutiny, Soderbergh's masterpiece single-handedly does what so many have attempted to do in the past; take sex out of the bedroom and place it in the living-room, where we all are forced to confront it.

| The script is excellent. The acting is great. The characters are strong. And the plotting, for a family drama, is certainly good. But the ending here is a REAL downer. If you don't mind such a bummer ending, this is a really worthwhile film.
The first two-thirds of it are superb. It's not that the last third is bad; not at all. It's just that in the last third real tragedy strikes and yes, we all know that's real because that's what life can do. | I don't have to tell you the synopsis of this show, so the bottom line is that it ROX! this and "friends" are my favorite sitcoms because (in my opinion) they involve a young and talented cast that just clicks -- and it shows.
anyhow, I just love the writing; the jokes seem unique to me, the comments and remarks the characters make and how they interact... it just rocks! :o) |

| "Vital Signs" is a high adrenalin drama focussing on the lives of first year Surgical Residents at a large metropolitan hospital. The TV series "St. Elsewhere" together with "Vital Signs" may have set the tone for TV series such as "ER" and "Chicago Hope", but "Vital Signs" most certainly has set the tone for "Grey's Anatomy". Jimmy Smits turns every character he plays into a golden moment. His role in this film, as mentor to the young doctors, is no exception. If you love "Grey's Anatomy", you'll really appreciate "Vital Signs". |
