| I guess because Richard Russo cowrote the screenplay, someone figured this should be labeled a comedy. There are no laughs. It's a dark Christmas movie with a Mob theme, several murders and a $2 million heist that goes awry. I enjoyed the atmosphere, but some won't. The dialogue is high quality. The alternate endings don't work, though, unless you want this to end even more darkly. |

| It is a rare thing when an independent film can be made with such a believable cast that you find yourself completely engulfed in watching it.
The director, who is also one of the main actors, immediately gets you interested in where the people and the story are going, and doesn't let up ever. It was only the ending scenes I found a little disappointing, but I guess I loved the interplay between the young man and woman at the beginning so much that I wanted to see more of their interaction. | I'd never heard of Jim Sikora who is the director for this atmospheric and engaging film. But Lara Phillips will melt your heart with her beautiful performance, i can't understand why this talented beauty is not starring in more pictures. She does have a small role in the film "Road to Perdition" as Ruby a waitress. Lara looks like a young Susan Sarandon, and seems to have Susan's talent for acting.
