| We expected the best from a movie with Ben Stiller, Jack Black and Robert Downey Jr starring in it. We love Ben Stiller movies and we love movies with Jack Black - until this one. When I read the reviews, I was sure this was a winner of a comedy. From the head spurting blood to the head on the end of Ben Stiller's bayonet, we did not find one laugh. | Te second season of SATC gives us a better history of the girls and what their characters are like. They fall into their roles as the story lines get better. It becomes more about friends rather than Carrie doing research for her column. A must have for any SATC fan. |

| I originally saw this in the theatre, after seeing Collateral and being told how this was similar to HEAT. I was pumped up to see in. After the movie, I was very disappointed, I felt like i just sat through a two plus hour television show. Expecting to see shoo-outs like HEAT, i was let down. Now 2 years later, I just finished watching it with family members who never seen it, and were expecting Don Johnson in pastels. We were both surprised. | Granted some reviewers have created a de facto plot line by arbitrarily deciding that some parts are reality, some dream & some symbolism, etc. but they ignore large parts that can't be fitted into their story line. It's important to note the film started out to be a TV series, its seems a reasonable assumption the movie was cobbled together out of scenes that were originally intended to be used in separate episodes with a different plot. | Lynch really out-did himself with this film.
1 minute short of 3 straight hours of abstract, non-linear, mind opening, mind blowing darkness... Laura Dern's performance was astounding, and really shook my senses. The only reason she hasn't been recognized for this role, that I can think of, is that this film is so much to take in, that some people would find it hard to sit threw...mostly for 2 reasons.
