Seeing the cast list and being a huge Oscar Wilde fan, I knew I had to see this, and I was not disappointed. Rupert Everett was made to play this part, and the Julianne Moore plays the manipulator perfectly. The costumes and beauty of the set just add to the overall splendor of this loely film. For anyone who loves film adaptations of "Emma", "Cold Comfort Farm", or "I Capture the Castle", this is for you!

Luckily they avoid completely revisiting old ground by setting this one in the South. It contains quite a few gags but the laughs are fewer and far between. It has a more serious look at some time honoured cliches about the South (evangelism, racism, quaintness) which may be less fair as time goes on, but as they say cliches exist for a reason. Chevy Chase's swansong and the last passable effort of his career - unless you want to count Memoirs of an Invisible Man. Buy the double CD with Fletch or else skip ... Read More:

I remember growing up with the pictures of glow in the dark condoms and body building seductresses floating around in my head from the time I was 14-19 y/o. This movie is Hilarious and (to me)tends to make more sense to aging delinquents who sort have been in those situations. What also stuck with me was how empty this character's life seemed to be even after all the sex and games (which, is every boy's definition of heaven). There's this one song in the movie that I've been trying to get my hands on for ... Read More:

I found this a cute little movie. Novelist David and his son move back to the small Minnesota town where David grew up in the 70's. He's been invited to teach a creative writing class at his old school.

At first his former tormentor Ross is just a loser shop teacher with an uncooperative wife, and five sons living in a trailer home while David is respected and well-received by his former peers. But when Ross realizes that his former victim is the kid who was responsible for landing him in a Rochester ... Read More:

Let me start this off by saying Odd Jobs in NOT a film for everybody. If you like very wacky comedies and don't mind your humor being dumb, you may enjoy Odd Jobs. The charm of the film is difficult to describe, as the story is rather absurd, the situations are ridiculous, the writing is unsophisticated, and the characters are one-dimensional. Put all those together in this right combination though, and you get a very funny and memorable movie. The hightlights of Odd Jobs are Jake Steinfeld (the Body By Jake guy) as a villanous ... Pure garbage. The only redeeming factor in this film is the cute dog. Even Corbin (who I find incredibly attractive, usually) is sub-par in this cinematic disaster. For the voters who said this movie "kept them on the edge of their seat", well, they must not get to the edge of their seat very often.

8.Seven Hours to Judgment starring: John Billingsley (II), Creed Bratton, George Catalano, Don Creery, Al Freeman Jr.

I bought this movie because Beau Bridges is in it as well as the underappreciated Ron Leibman (still wait for his Kaz TV series to be transferred on Disc). They both have their share of the action. Bridges plays a judge who is "soft" on gangland crimes, Leibman is the husband of a victim, a survelliance systems specialist, who kidnaps the judge's wife in order to get things going. That's basically a good story, but it is not handled very well. Suspension of disbelieve is required more often than I am usually willing to conceed. The production ... Read More:

Allie is no beauty. She's also a little slow, gullible and obsessive. But she is a kind beautician in a ritzy salon run by the supportive Karen. Allie dreams of owning her own business but sadly she is not exactly on the fast track to success. Vengeful housewife Michelle has developed a bad attitude after catching her husband in bed with her best friend. Michelle and Allie team up, taking out their frustrations in a covert campaign of mischief and larceny, bonding through thievery and housebreaking. When they take hostage in his very own mansion, ...
