| Biscuits O'bryan: Texas Storyteller (Texas Heritage)
This opera, like most,has a silly love story, but the music is spectacular, especially Pavarotti's aria, "Una Furtiva Lagrima." That song alone makes this a worthwhile purchase. |

| Takes awhile to get going, and I had to watch it a 3 times to stay awake through the first half, but it gets really good during the second half if you stick it out. Overall glad I bought it. |

| I got this for my husband, to view while he was recovering from surgery. Well, I couldn't have chosen better because he absolutely loves it and I think he's watched it at least 3 times since. He says the voices are splendid, as are the production values. All in all, a bit hit! |

1. If you know the opera very well and can handle the Italian, tough. There's no way to get Italian subtitles (on either the PAL or the NTSC version). 2. The "grand march" (musically intended to be the most magical moment of this opera) was inanely choreographed. | I watched this film a long time ago on tv and it still has this weird impact on me. So, i decided to purchase and i am still not dissappointed! A fresh take and undoubtly, one of the finest interpretations from this filmaker from Spain.

| This production is just dreadful compared to the other two available on DVD. Right from the beginning with a saloon that looked like a New York City tenement building, and costumes to match, with a chorus as dull as the gray of the room. Juan Pons as Jack Rance is able to sing the part, but that's all. He doesn't even come close to Sherrill Milnes' mean, tough guy portrayal. And Minnie, oh dear!
