| I bought season 1 when it came out although I had read about the inacuracies of the series. I was certainly impressed with the overall product so that I did not hesitate in buying season 2 via pre-order.
I must say that this has been certainly the best purchase I have made, DvD wise, this year. I have been completely blown away by the increased quality of this installment. | For as long as I can remember, I have been fascinated by Henry VIII. So of course I was excited when Showtime presented The Tudors! If you're someone who wants everything to be 100% accurate to history, then this isn't for you. But if you can put that aside and just appreciate the series for what it is, you'll love it. | Oh, my gosh. This movie was, hands-down, one of the worst "historical" films I have ever seen. It may as well have been titled "I Love Your Kohl-Smudged Eyes" for the seemingly countless close-up shots of Alexander and pretty-boy Hephaistion staring dreamily at each other throughout the entire length of the film. We're supposed to believe that Hephaistion is a warrior!? No one could possibly finish this movie with an accurate idea of who Alexander the Great really was. | Woody Allen, known more for his comedies, tries his hand at a crime drama here. However, some parts of the movie are not as believable as they could be. For example, in this age of DNA testing where even a hair is enough to tie a criminal to a murder, how the police don't find anything that makes Wilton (Jonathan Rhys Meyers) culpable to the crime is implausible. | Bend It Like Backham is a cute and harmless family film. Keira Knightley proudly shows off her rock-hard abs while Jonathan Rhys Meyers is a nice piece of eye candy, hubba hubba! Good sports film but some of the dialogue is pretty laughable, a mixed bag for me so decide for yourself. |

| This is one of the best Old testaments movies I have seen yet and I have seen many. It is true to the Bible and very exciting.
Old Testament history is hard to keep straight as so very much happens but this film will burn this time of Saul and David and his son Solomon in your mind and heart not to be forgotten. | I was surprised because I don't usually like these types of flashy films but I enjoyed Velvet Goldmine. It's an intense yet relaxing film that you can watch without having to actually think. It's hard to explain but this film actually takes you in so far that you'll question if your sober or high. The set is amazing, the custumes are shocking, the actors are dazzling and the stage performances are wonderful. VG does have some problems though.
