| I purchases this DVD for my mother for Mother's Day. It arrived and we were treated again to a funny little girl seemingly 'on her own'. We thoroughly enjoyed her shenanigans and would recommend it to anyone for a good family night film. |

| This is a great movie. I've seen Wood Harris in other films and tv shows, and I like how subdued he is in this movie, but at the same time he has a great presence on screen. Cam'ron fit in the "Rico" role very nicely; he's surprisingly believable. I would recommend this movie to anyone who is a fan of urban drama. |

| This is a very accurate portrayal of Scott Fitzgerald's last days as he struggles to create the novel The Last Tycoon under the eye of a youthful secretary who basically must become his housewife. The story is not only about writing, but about a talented man's struggle to maintain his decency and integrity after totally blowing out his personality with a monstrous addiction to alcohol. He mainly succeeds, not always, but it is the sort of thing which ought to be shown at AA meetings.

| Not a bad piece of work considering it's a true story, the pacing was a little slow for my taste. Spader was a good choice for the role, a very non-descript actor was needed and that was achieved. |

| In this movie about a 16-year-old 'mail order bride,' probably the best aspect of it is that it gives some idea of what life was like in Manitoba in the middle of the 19th Century. I would submit that the situation of Anne in this movie would certainly have been more the exception than the rule, however. | What did I oike about this movie? it would be easier to say what I didn't like: nothing! The conflict might be popular, but that's because it's so attractive and creepy; it didn't diminish the quality of the story any less. I was on the edge of my seat, screaming at the screen, my heart beating like a flying bumblebee! The suspense to see who if anyone survived almost killed me!
