| There is NO argument! This is THE BEST SNL ALUMNI MOVIE EVER!!! Not only is it FUNNY, but it's also intelligent. This is one of those movies that you just have to watch every time it's on tv even though it is cut horribly for tv.
DVD or Blu-ray is THE way to watch this movie in all of it's glory. In fact, it's become a 'Christmas' movie at out house. I have literally watched this movie and then gone back and watched it again. THAT'S how GREAT this movie is! |

| I just finished watching Cranford and was moved in all my emotions. It is a beautiful piece about friendship, sacrifice, loyalty, mercy, regrets, new hope, and romantic love at ALL stages of life. I can truly say this is a film that WILL stay with me for months and years. While I found it dark at times (a couple grim surgeries and the oppressive poverty of a major character) the film was a mix of sun and shade, just as life. | This is a very good flick, I recommend any and everyone to see it. Christina Ricci is spectacular and James McAvoy is...well, James McAvoy hasn't starred in a single movie I haven't liked. Even Reese Witherspoon's short little stint is delightful! |

| You know what this movie does is bring a little bit of "Real Life" to all families. I think anyone watching this movie could just see this happening in a big family. Though a little far-fetched, the family story is great and during a holiday season it is a perfect time to watch. How can you not enjoy Steve Carrell dancing? To keep this short I will just say that this movie is well worth watching for any Steve Carrell or toned down Dane Cook fan. Sit back eat popcorn and enjoy the film. |

| I have not seen the orginal version of this movie, so I cannot comment on this as a remake, but I do like this movie. There doesn't seem to be much chemisty between the two main characters, so when they fall in love, it doesn't seem that believable, but almost everything else about this film is engaging. It's an enjoyable movie to watch and most of the characters are interesting in their own right and well-played by the actors. |

| Well as a former US Army Tanker, I am writing this from that view. I had the privilege of serving with good soldiers, who on one occassion watched this movie together, as a company. The critisicm never ended.
I do like the actors in this movie, but the background, tactics and overall unit organizations shown in this picture, were pitiful. I can understand the equipment that had to be used to film this picture, but the dialogue could of been much more based on military reality. I feel that all the sides protrayed ... Read More: |

| True Grit (Special Collector's Edition)This is the movie John Wayne won an Oscar for his performance and well deserved it truely is! Excellent script, excellent directing and most of all, excellent acting. The movie was perfectly cast and all the actors delivered their best. The most beautiful locations added to the movie presentation. They have a featurette on this dvd about the location of the movie---and it is a real town. All I can say is the entire movie is so impressive and I would recommend this dvd as a must have for any film library. |
