| Just got done watching this for the 3rd time. I saw it once on TV long ago, then found it in the $5.00 Walmart bin and have seen it twice at home. Modine does a great job here and you really fall for the spirit of his character in this film. I suspect not many people with his flair for independence survive in this world but his obvious talent carries him through with the powers that be. | Its a solid B sci fi/ horror movie, very enjoyable. Decent plot, good pace and a good creep factor. I would say its a good buy. Its a great way to kill a afternoon if you just cant find anything to watch on TV. |

| I remember seeing this as a TV movie many years ago when it first aired. Fortunately I had seen the original with Bette Davis and Joan Crawford years before which is a classic that cannot be replaced. Like many remakes, this one is not as bad as other very bad remakes.

| So what do I do; I BUY THE MOVIE!!! Luckily for me, this movie isn't nearly as bad as I had feared. The prominent feeling surrounding this flick is deception. Heck, even the cover art is misleading; that picture never happens in the film. People who hate "Bad Dreams" wanted a "Nightmare on Elm Street" monster/slasher.
