| This is one cool movie. The only character I wish to see was The Shredder. He would have made the movie better and I know a image of him was in the begining but I would like a sequel to this film. It would be called TMNT: The Return of The Shredder. It is so action packed, every time I watch it in bed I fall asleep. | I have never forgotten this movie from the first time I saw it in a theater. The shower scene scared me along with a lot of others there. At the time I had a Ford like Janet Leigh drove in the movie and would not open the trunk for a couple of weeks. I have it on tape and just had to add the Special Edition to my DVD collection of Hitchcock movies. It is one of his best. The fools that thought they could remake this movie were nuts. | Stylistically, this is a very interesting film from director John Ford. The film begins with alot of colorful characterizations familiar to audiences with films as diverse as "Stagecoach" and "The Searchers". There's also alot of brutal realism which would anticipate the work of Sam Peckinpah. It's also interesting that Ford contrasts the traditional western as represented by John Wayne with the new west represented by James Stewart who made a series of "psychological" westerns in and around this time. | Hannah and Her Sisters is Woody Allen's third best film (Annie Hall and Manhattan are 1 and 2) I liked this film, it is quirky and touching. The best performance goes to Dianne Weist, she is such a natural, she's cute and refreshing in this film. Michael Caine is also good as well, I just wish Mia Farrow wasn't in this, she brings down the film with her sour facial expressions. Lovely romantic comedy for new and old fans of Allen's work. |
