| Impressive. All 5/5 stars for the first 15-20 minutes of the movie and the whole story of course is magnificent. Awesome! This is my favorite WW II movie. Great job and a fitting tribute to those who died trying to liberate Europe from Nazism and Fascism. Extremely well-done and a great movie. Makes me tear eyed when the army car comes by to notify Ryan's family of their sons' death. The acting is great and the visual effects are very well-done. | Twister is one of my all-time favorite action movies and have watched it more times than I would like to admit.The best transfer on DVD still left alot to be desired.Now,the the transfer on Blu-Ray has been cleaned up and improved dramatically.It's not reference quality,of course,but I give the picture a solid 4 out of 5 for a movie of this age.I can't comment on the new lossless soundtrack because I am unable to decode yet.
Definitely highly recommended even if you have the latest DVD version. |

| Two emotionally wounded people find love through a dominant/submissive relationship. Maggie Gyllenhahl is great, as usual. Warning: although the domination scenes aren't that heavy, some people could find them offensive. But I'm not into BDSM myself and still liked the movie a lot. |

| If you have made it this far into this series let alone into the franchise you will understand every season has its exceptional episodes and its lackluster episodes and this one is no different. I have actually found episodes I have never seen and I thought that was impossible. I am no trekkie but as an engineer I love this series and have all of ST the next generation and am working to get all of ST DS9 and ST voyager. |
