| Somewhere in 2000, Disney quietly launched a special 2 disc collector's edition of "Tarzan" the same year as its paltry one disc edition. For some reason it advertised the one disc version heavily, which is a shame because the collector's edition is a gem not to be missed by fans. Unfortunately I didn't know about it until years after its release, and by then it was out of print, hard to find, and expensive. | Since this is one of my favorite Disney movies, I decided to get the DVD and see if it was worth the money, but unfortunatley it wasn't. One of the biggest problems with the DVD is that the film is not presented in its original aspect ratio. Another problem is the special features included. Out of all the stuff included, I was expecting a "making of" featurette, but Disney was too lazy to include it, not to mention one was already made back during the film's release and aired on the Disney Channel. | When I read in one of my magazines that they were making Batman Gotham Knight, I was really excited about it. I thought it would be this dark adult animated movie that I would find really gripping and entertaining. I saw it in blockbuster one day when I was with one of my friends so I decided to buy it. Maybe my expectations were too high but I was slightly disappointed.
It isn't one long movie. It's a movie in six sections and it is done by different anime artists. Some of the styles I liked, some disliked. I guess ... Read More: |
