| This movie is always on the top of my list. If you are a fan of the military classics, this is a must-have for your collection. Henry Fonda played this role in the play before the movie was made, so, his portrayal of Mr. Roberts is flawless.
The story is both heart-wrenching & hilarious at the same time. I, personally, cannot get enough of the crew posted on "The Bucket". |

| I am an avid movie buff of Busby Berkeley films which I compare with todays movies. The story lines and dialogue were in their infancy, but in today's society I find them infantile.
How hard the actors and actresses worked doing all their own stunts - singing, dancing, swimming, whatever the part required they did it. I revere the early hollywood stars, they appear to have a healthy respect for themselves and others, which is not something many of the stars appear to have today. |

| From Little Caesar to George M. Cohan. Winning an Academy Award for Best Actor, Cagney is wonderful. One of the best American movies ever made. Great for family viewing, including young children. And for young children, don't forget to let them see Errol Flynn in Robin Hood. |

| Great value here. These are some of the best old noir films I've ever seen, including some of Cagney's and Robinson's best. Great stuff, and frankly worth the price just for White Heat and Public Enemy. Also has some fine Bogart moment.

| If like me you have a deep affection for those lurid Warners gangster flicks, you'll love these movies. There's more to Cagney, Bogie and Robinson than today's youngsters can appreciate. Take "Smart Money", perhaps the best of the collection, This is one of those snappy gems only the WB could produce. There's not a single bomb in this box. Highly recommended! |

To have both in the same work, and have that work be the epitome of artistic and technical achievement is a gift to the generations to come. | We watched this movie recently while in Berlin visiting friends. Neither of us had ever heard of it, but we just loved it. It is marvelously tongue in cheek. The humor has great subtlety. Overall, it is very well done and highly enjoyable. One of the first things we did upon returning home to the USA was to buy this movie. Great flick! |

| Once again, Jimmy Cagney struts his stuff.....and makes a big name for himself in the very early part of his acting career. He clearly demonstrates that he is a man who take over any scene and dominate it, and the film.
The story is a fast-mover and the movie is over in less than an hour-and-a-half. The cinematography in here is excellent and DVD really brings that out.
